DC Universe Online was another of the many games available at the SOE booth at E3. In DCUO, you can create your own hero or villain. Customization is the name of the game here – you can play episodes that focus on your adventures, you can equip items that can alter you appearance or you can choose to use the look of one item while having the stats of another, and you can choose the combination of your superpowers.
You will fight side by side with other DC heroes or villains – depending on which side you choose. The entire world is at your control as you can use objects in the world as weapons – even your enemies. You even get to explore the DC Universe and visit locales like Metropolis, Arkham Asylum, Gotham City, and the Justice League of America Watchtower.
The game is an MMO style game with a totally open world. Certain modes of the game will allow up to 16 vs 16. The game is fully customizable down to the control. You will be able to use a controller with your PC or a keyboard and mouse with your PS3.
DC Universe Online is coming to PC and PS3 on November 2nd, 2010. There will be a monthly service fee of $14.99/month to play the game online.
