So no joke…only a few weeks before the official announcement, I thought to myself, what if there was a Back to the Future game? I loved the movies and, if done right, a game could be pretty cool. Then, Telltale Games announced that they would be making a game based on the Back to the Future movies just in time for the film’s 25th anniversary! The new Blu Ray/DVD 25th Anniversary edition of the trilogy hits stores today, October 26th. Today also marks the official pre-order kickoff for the game along with a special offer.
Starting today, you can pre-order the Back to the Future game for $24.95 at http://www.backtothefuturegame.com/ and it will include the following:
- Telltale Games critically acclaimed Puzzle Agent — $9.95 value, available for download immediately after placing order.
- For each pre-order of the series on PC and Mac from telltalegames.com, the company will donate $1.00 to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
- Inclusion in special pre-release insider forum at Telltale site — to chat with the team creating the game throughout the process
The PC and Mac versions are expected to release sometime in December, with the PS3 and iPad versions coming shortly after.
The game picks up shortly after the end of the third film and Marty and Doc Brown will go on an all new cinematic time-travel adventure. The story will be told over a course of five episodes, a new episode each month.
