NEWS: Moon Diver Xbox Live Arcade Release Date Announced

Square Enix announced today that Moon Diver, the downloadable arcade game by Strider creator, Koichi Yotsui, will be available on Xbox Live Arcade on May 4, 2011 for 1200 MS Points.  Moon Diver is currently available on the PlayStation Network for $14.99.

Moon Diver is set in the 22nd century when an evil power brings inanimate objects to life and they turn on humanity.  A elite group of specially trained ninjas known as Moondivers have gotten their order to reclaim the planet and save Earth from mankind’s own creations.

The Diver System will allow players to jump in and out of a game at any time for up to four players.  Guest players will get rewarded with XP for helping out.  Combo powers and intensity will increase based on the number of players.  You can adjust the difficulty level at anytime using the Chaos Accelerator.  Higher difficulty levels will reward the player will more XP and enhanced visuals.  There are 12 stages to play and co-op is for up to four players locally and online.  The characters were designed by Roberto Ferrari, formerly of Tatsunoko.

You can play Moon Diver now on PSN or on May 4, 2011 on XBLA.  Moon Diver is rated E10+ for Everyone 10 years and older.
