As a fan of the Harvest Moon series for several years, I was pleased to hear that today Natsume announced a new Harvest Moon is coming to both the Nintnedo DS and 3DS. Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns features two villages that are now in a dispute over food. Each town swears that they offer the best cooked food in the world and now these once happy neighboring towns are now bitter rivals!
You play a new farmer who has come to the area and must choose a town to start your farm in. Build your home, start your farm, and compete in many festivals to hone their skills.
“We’re extremely excited to be bringing The Tale of Two Towns to these two great platforms,” said Hiro Maekawa, President and CEO at Natsume. “We wanted to ensure that all of our loyal Harvest Moon fans would have a chance to play this game. No matter which version they pick up,
they’re sure to love the great new cast of characters, the fun festivals, and the exciting new gameplay mechanics.”
No further info was released as to what the differences between the DS version and the 3DS version will be (except, I’m sure, the obvious) and how that will affect the overall gameplay. Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns is due out later this summer.
