Square Enix announced today that Chrono Trigger will come to Nintendo Wii’s Virtual Console service on May 16, 2011.
Chrono Trigger was originally released in 1995 for the Super Nintendo and was created by Yuji Horii (script creator and creator of the Dragon Quest series), Akira Toriyama (character design and creator of Dragon Ball), and the creators of Final Fantasy.
Chrono Trigger features an in-depth and rich storyline and revolutionized the RPG genre with new feats like a beautiful soundtrack and multiple endings based on the side quests chosen and the player’s actions.
