SEGA and Gearbox Software revealed today that Aliens: Colonial Marines will be released for the newly announced Nintendo console, the Wii U. The announcement was during the Nintendo press conference held this morning in Los Angeles during the 2011 Electronic Entertainment Expo.

Aliens: Colonial Marines is set after the events that happen in the film, Aliens, and is designed to provide another chapter in the Aliens universe. Players will blast their way through hordes of Aliens on the USS Sulaco, the surface of LV-426, and Hadley’s Hope, using the weapons from the film series.
