Nice to meet you Eric! Thanks for visiting our site. I'm Norm Major, and I too have been a gamer pretty much all my life. You see…home consoles just weren't around when I was a little boy, however, the Atari came out when I was about 6 years old. The Christmas after my 7th birthday, I received the Intellivision, and I haven't looked back.
When I met April, my wife, I felt it a responsiblity to try to get her into gaming. It turned out that she was a gamer when she was young, but was a touch stifled because of responsibilites such as school, something that didn't stop me :).
Lucky for me, she really embraced video games, and it was her idea to create this site! While we can never compete with a site like IGN or 1 Up, our goal is to reach out to the community of gamers and connect in a more personal way. Its good to know who you are gaming with and what skill level they are at the games you play together. A veteran might not want to play with a N00b, or they may enjoy tutoring a new player. Either way, it's better to know before you get thrown together in random match-making.
I agree that games like Zelda are awesome. I also enjoy Super Mario Galaxy, the Metroid Prime Trilogy, Halo 3, Rock Band, Valkyria Chronicles and Oblivion.
