Review: RAGE
Bethesda, makers of some of the greatest RPG games like Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Fallout 3, have teamed up with id Software, makers of landmark FPS games like Doom and Quake, to bring us Rage. Rage is an action RPG set in a post-apocalyptic world after an asteroid impacts the Earth. The game is sort of a mix between Fallout 3 and Borderlands, but it isn’t really like the two games at all.
Review: Dark Souls
Dark Souls is probably one of the hardest games I’ve had to review. Considered to be the “spiritual successor” to 2009′s Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls may be the hardest game you’ll ever play‚ if you dare. Take the game’s tagline (and its web url), Prepare to Die, to heart because you WILL die and you will die A LOT.
Review: Dungeon Siege III
From Diablo to Baldur’s Gate, the hack-n’-slash, looting RPG has had some successful titles. Some of my favorite local co-op experiences has been playing these types of games and, fortunately for Square Enix, these games aren’t too hard to put together. The formula is already written and the locations are easy to build on. What makes the game actually good depends on leveling-up, controls and the excitement of combat. Dungeon Siege III does each of these fairly well, but none of it is brilliant.

Review: NIER
When it comes to RPGs, you generally can’t go wrong when it comes to Square Enix. Most famous for their Final Fantasy series, which has typically been all about turn based combat until recently, Square Enix introduces NIER, a new action-RPG. NIER is a move in a different direction than we are used to from Square Enix. NIER features a twisting and emotional storyline packed with action filled combat, puzzles, and tons of side quests.
