Review: Thor God of Thunder (Xbox 360)
Thor: God of Thunder is, as you guessed it, a movie-tie in game for the recent Marvel superhero film, Thor. The game’s storyline does not follow the film directly and aims to take you deeper into the world of Thor and his mythology. Unfortunately, the game falls short and is more of a frustrating battle against the game’s controls and repetitive gameplay.

Review: Thor God of Thunder (Wii)
While being a movie tie in for the comic book based film, Thor: God of Thunder offers an original storyline from the film that introduces you to the characters and locations in the film. Though the game is available across all systems, the Wii version offers a Wii specific control scheme, exclusive flight levels, and and comic book art direction rather than the realistic graphics of the Xbox 360 and PS3. The game starts out as a fun hack and slash button masher, but quickly turns into a repetitive and frustrating gaming experience.

Review: Thor God of Thunder (DS)
WayForward Technologies has been creating video game movie tie-ins for quite some time. They created the creative and challenging Dispicable Me: Minion Mayhem, and also Contra 4 for the DS, a faithful continuation of the Contra franchise. It stands to reason that they may be able to create a fun and challenging game based on Thor, right? Not so much.
