Review: Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition

Review: Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition

By Norman Major III on May 9, 2011

Super Street Fighter IV for the Nintendo 3DS is the definitive handheld fighter. It offers great graphics, good control, and most of the modes offered in the console release. It also integrates very functional online support. If you own the 3DS and enjoyed the Street Fighter 2 glory days, you owe it to yourself to pick this game up.

We sat down with Seth Killian from Capcom last Thursday to preview Super Street Fighter IV, and to test drive the new character, Hakan. They have definitely listened to the fans who have responded to Street Fighter IV, because they have improved many things about the game from the smallest detail up to some larger changes, like improving the difficulty levels of the game.

Review: Tatsunoko vs. Capcom Ultimate All-Stars

Review: Tatsunoko vs. Capcom Ultimate All-Stars

By Norman Major III on January 25, 2010

Nothing is harder than writing a review for a fighting game. Part of me wants to write about my issue with figuring out the combos, another part of me has too much pride to even mention such a trivial issue. How much do I have to play the game to know that I have experienced everything it has to offer? Do I have to master the game to really understand how good it is, or do I simply play each character, pull off every move, and defeat it once?

I spent over 15 hours playing Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom Ultimate All-Stars (TvC) before I felt I could write a fair review. I have tried my hand at every character, and have attempted each move and tried out a a couple of the controller options. How did the game fair in my opinion? It’s fantastic.

April and I got a chance to see the near-final build of the new 2D fignter, Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars. We are happy to say that it is seriously awesome. It features a simplified fighting system that suits all characters, yet it doesn’t sacrifice any of the strategy or fun that you have come to expect from other Capcom fighters.
