Review: Lost Planet 2
Even though I was less than satisfied with the first Lost Planet, I was excited when I heard they were making a sequel. Sequels are inevitable these days but the fact that the game would take place on the same planet, E.D.N. III, and it was NOT covered in snow and ice intrigued me. I was curious how the new climate and terrain would affect the game play and overall feel of the game. While Lost Planet 2 is a gorgeous effort, the game caters to a multiplayer audience and leaves the single player out in the cold.
Review: NIER
When it comes to RPGs, you generally can’t go wrong when it comes to Square Enix. Most famous for their Final Fantasy series, which has typically been all about turn based combat until recently, Square Enix introduces NIER, a new action-RPG. NIER is a move in a different direction than we are used to from Square Enix. NIER features a twisting and emotional storyline packed with action filled combat, puzzles, and tons of side quests.
Review: Samurai Shodown Sen
Samurai Shodown Sen is the eleventh installment in the Samurai Shodown series and the fourth 3D version. It is also the first to receive a Mature rating. The game features weapon based fighting with special attacks and a Rage meter to spice things up. I have a love/hate relationship with fighting games – I love to play them, but I really hate to have to learn a lot of complicated moves. Samurai Shodown Sen doesn’t have a lot of tricky button combos, but it can get very frustrating at times especially when playing the Story and Survival modes. However, when played against a human competitor, the game is a lot of fun.
Review: Final Fight Double Impact
First off, it’s important that the reader know that I have played Final Fight front to back in the arcade several times. I used to have a machine at work and after hours we were allowed to play the game with company quarters. Even more important, I have never heard of Magic Sword. These are the two games featured in Final Fight: Double Impact.
Review: Supreme Commander 2
I have never been a fan of the Real Time Strategy (RTS) genre for two reasons – most are on the PC and I don’t PC game and it was never a genre that appealed to me. I got to see a demo of the game at E3 last year so I was actually interested in trying out the game myself. Although the first game, Supreme Commander, was PC only, Supreme Commander 2 is available on the PC and the Xbox 360. Although I am not familiar with the genre, an RTS game on a game console would be a challenge for the designers and the players. Despite this, Supreme Commander 2 works very well on the 360 and, I have to admit, I really enjoyed the game.

Review: Resident Evil 5: Lost in Nightmares DLC
Almost a year after the release of Resident Evil 5, Capcom breathes more life into the the game with the release of Lost in Nightmares which takes us to the events that took place before Resident Evil 5 and gives us a glimpse into some of its back story.
